Transcription: Originally they had a hole in the middle of this room that they were going to bury George Washington below, have a statue and put his tomb down below that. But that was closed up because the artist who put these very famous four paintings in there, John Trumbull, who was an aide in Washington's army, insisted on closing that hole.
